Acknowledgement of Country

Thistle works on the unceded Country of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging, and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded — this always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.

We recognise that First Nations communities have always included Sister Girls, Brother Boys, and people of diverse genders and sexualities — celebrated long before colonisation sought to erase them. We honour their presence, past and present, and stand in solidarity with First Nations LGBTQIA+ people.
